I specialize in individual, couple, marital and family therapy, women’s issues, domestic violence,

sexual assault and abuse, grief, bereavement, depression, panic disorders, OCD, stress management, work related issues, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.


I have a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland. My internship was with the US Army, Dept. of Social Services in Germany, 85-86, during the Chernobyl crisis.

 

My public service experience includes having served as the director of the Battered Women’s Shelter in Jersey City, NJ  and as the director of the Rape Crisis Unit at the Jersey City Medical Center. I am currently a Red Cross-trained Disaster Services Mental Health provider as well as a first responder Mental Health Specialist trained by the NJ Division of Mental Health. I provided post 9/11 disaster mental health services to area businesses and institutions, including the IRS, Instinet, and Bank One. 

 

I have provided lectures and trainings on the assessment and treatment of domestic violence,

sexual assault and abuse for Hudson County social service agencies, judges, courthouse staff, police, and medical providers. I have also appeared on local and national television as a mental health professional including a guest appearance on The Montel Williams Show. 

 

I am a listed participating provider for Aetna, Magellan, United Behavioral Health, Oxford Managed Health Network (Health Net), Empire Blue Cross/Shield, Value Options, Qualcare  and many others.

My office hours are weekday mornings, afternoons, evenings, and Saturday mornings.
